Hi, I'm Alexandra -  a freelance podcast presenter, speaker, host and facilitator (and lifelong retail enthusiast).

 

I am fascinated by storytelling in business, our connections with brands and what they mean to us, and how changes to how we shop, live and work will shape how our towns and cities will look in future.

I was thrilled to be a finalist for Best Business Podcast Award in the inaugural Independent Podcast Awards in 2023.   

​

I am a BBC contributor for all things independent retail and have been a speaker and host for the University of Birmingham's School of Marketing and Top Drawer's RetailFest S/S 2022 and A/W 2023. 

​

Music is a huge part of my life and I was delighted to be accepted as a trainee onto

BBC Radio 3's Open Music programme in September 2023, working with teams in BBC Audio and Live Events to build my experience in radio and deepen my understanding of creative practice. 

​

A lifelong audio obsessive and radio fan, I am excited to be working with The Radio Academy as their Project Manager, working across The ARIAS, The Radio Academy's Mentoring Programme (RAMP), Young Audio Awards and The Reelworld 30 under 30. 

​

I also freelance as an Event Host for visit.org - who connect multi-national companies with local charities to create meaningful change in their communities. 

 

I am fiercely curious about the world around me, which has led to a diverse and varied career, spanning creative, cultural and charity sectors. I am an adaptable presenter and facilitator, and am fortunate enough to have worked on projects in contemporary dance, theatre, urban design, education, science communication, community development and local government. 

 

In my spare time, I enjoy expanding my knowledge of music further by volunteering as a producer with EHFM, a community radio station based in Summerhall, where I'm always guaranteed to hear something new. Otherwise, I'll be in the kitchen cooking up a storm whilst singing at the top of my lungs...
